The College Valley North Northumberland Hunt operates entirely within the law and the objectives for the season are:

  • Conduct legal activities only
  • Maintain infra-structure of the Hunt
  • To continue the high standard of hound management and animal welfare
  • To respect and abide by the wishes of our farmers and landowners
  • To simulate hunting by laying a trail across open country and woodland
  • Hounds will be encouraged to draw for the trail and to hunt the scent
  • If it becomes apparent that foxes have intervened, hounds will be picked up immediately and draw for a new trail
  • It is not against the law to ride with hounds and control hounds by traditional methods
  • We will continue to operate our fox control service under the Scottish legislation where appropriate
