HUNT  MONITORS

Week ending 7th. February.

On Saturday the Blencathra had a serious visitation from the Sabs, accompanied by Mr. Watson of course.  These people were a huge nuisance, halloing, shouting, blowing hunting horns and generally trying to get the hounds away from their huntsman.  In addition they were extremely antagonistic, particularly Mr. Watson.  It is fairly obvious that their remit is to try to provoke a fight or at the least an extreme reaction which would then provide them with just the sort of material the Sunday papers are looking for.

The Blencathra have been in touch with the Police and have reported Watson’s behaviour, they are awaiting a response from the Inspector in charge of policing the Hunting Act.  If Sabs turn up at a hunt it is good policy to report their presence to the Police before they report an incident – which they will surely do whether or not there is anything to report.
